Volunteer at the Telethon Community Cinemas
Applications are now open for our 2024 Season
Everyone you see working at a Telethon Community Cinemas screening is a volunteer. Without our volunteers nothing would be possible and certainly we could not be doing what we do. All you need to qualify is have a good heart, have a sense of humour and be over 16 years of age (16-17 yo’s require parental permission) and under 85 years of age.
HorsePower Hils is a Charity Beneficiary for Telethon Community Cinemas and requires a large team of volunteers to help run the cinemas at venues located at Murdoch, Joondalup, Bassendean and Burswood.
We ask for just one regular night per fortnight (more often if you’re really keen) from around 6pm until after the screening.
From working in the candy bar, cooking a sausage, hiring out a bean bag lounge or engaging with our patrons whilst on floor duties: the range of roles at Telethon Community Cinemas is wide and varied.
Have fun whilst volunteering and engage with our patrons. Make new friends with other volunteers. Feel the sense of pride from families having an enjoyable night out whilst helping raise valuable funds for local children’s charities.
Reasons to get involved!
-
HorsePower helps young people to increase their independence, to achieve their personal goals, to believe in themselves, and to be part of a team and a community. Support the Cinemas that support us, and make the community a better place, one movie at a time!
-
You will also receive a FREE movie ticket for every shift completed and an entry into the major prize draw!
-
Complete at least 10 shifts, and you will also have the opportunity to vote to direct the financial outcome of your efforts to HorsePower. Each 10 shifts completed gives you another vote.
